FAQ

What do I need to bring?

There’s no need to bring any tools or equipment with you to Country Pines. (In fact, we can’t allow people to bring their own tools. Pesky insurance rules.) Just dress for the weather and we’ll provide the rest including saws, carts, tree shaking, netting, throwaway bags, and we’ll even tie the tree to the roof of the ol’ stationwagon, if needed!

How do I take care of my precut tree?

First and foremost, be sure to cut off  ¼” off the trunk. Make the cut perpendicular to the stem, not at an angle or a V-shape.

Use a stand with an adequate water-holding capacity and check the stand daily to make sure the water level does not go below the base of the tree.

Keep the tree away from sources of heat such as fireplaces, heaters, vents, and direct sunlight. Lowering the room temperature will slow the drying process and result in less water consumption each day.

We are heading into our final weekend with a few absolutely gorgeous fir trees left. We have the tall trees! 3-10’ Wild Fraser’s 4- 13’ Full Fraser’s 1- 14’ Canaan. A couple of 7-8’ Fraser, Balsam and Canaan’s. 4- 4-5’ Canaan’s left too. We have just a few precut scotch and a couple precut white pines too. There cut your own fields are still open, however we reserve the right to shut the field down at any time, when we hit our target number, we simply can’t afford to oversell our inventory and we ask that people understand that. Once the fields close we will only sell the remaining precuts. We still have wreaths! A few porch pots remain as well!Saturday 9:00am-5:00pmSunday- 1:00pm- 5:00pm ... See MoreSee Less

Super small space? Don’t want a big tree? Don’t think your budget will allow for a real tree this year? We have a very limited quantity of Canaan Fir trees in the 4-5’ range available in the precut area. These are being reduced to just $40 now until we close on Sunday or until we sell out! Some are skinny and some are not! They have been buried in the snow, so they are in excellent condition! ... See MoreSee Less

**This little guy has been spoken for and is heading to a loving home! We definitely want to take a second to say thank you to everyone who has offered to take it! Your continued love and support of the farm is exactly why it was so important to Tanya and Myself that the family traditions we have all created here are able to continue!**By far, the hardest part of the transition of ownership has been learning how to control inventory and keep enough trees in the field to be able to open again next year. Watching 90% of our new seedlings die last year and 200 of our cuttable trees die didn’t help much! Payment obligations hinge on making the right decisions and keeping trees alive and growing! When we open our fields to the public, we extend our trust to people and expect them to be aware and courteous to the thousands of hours we have put into the farm and our trees. To the 1 “customer” out of thousands over the last 4 days that cut a beautiful tree and left it laying in the field, Thank you. I truly hope the 2nd tree you cut was better than this one! This tree is roughly 6’ tall and is now stood against a post in the fir section, in the hopes that someone would like to take it home to let it fulfill its mission in life- to be a Christmas Tree in someone’s home! Otherwise, it was removed from its place of growth for no reason! If that home is yours, please let us know! ... See MoreSee Less

One is prelit the other isn’t. They are both just inside the door of the barn if you are interested!! ... See MoreSee Less

The final outdoor chore is complete!!We still need to stand the tall trees up, so you may not want to break the speed limits on your way out! In the name of safety, please follow the parking signs to the parking lot across the road from the farm. We ask that you do not park on the road or in the driveway. We appreciate everyone that visits and we want everyone to have a fun day and go home with no accidents! ... See MoreSee Less

We have been going for years. My favorite part of Christmas is gathering the family up and picking out the perfect tree! Friendly staff, they treat everyone like family.
